Adalee goes to the hospital.
I felt like it was never going to end. We were there from Sunday at dinner time until 1:55PM on Thursday. I seriously counted every second. Not because I wanted to be doing something other than holding my baby but because I couldn't stand seeing her sick any longer.
It had been 9 days since her fevers first started and I couldn't take it any more. She wasn't eating, sleeping, playing, nothing. So I packed a couple diapers and headed to the ER. Seven hours later and a 105.4 fever later, we were checked in to the pediatric unit and NO ONE had any idea what was wrong with the peanut. Three days passed before her fever FINALLY broke and we were no closer to an answer but we were a little closer to going home! All the blood work, urine samples, stool samples, etc came back O.K. and we basically ran out the front door as soon as they said it was alright.. It's been over three weeks with no fevers so I'm happy to say we did NOT have to return to DHMC! I do not wish any time spent there on any Moms or Dads!
