So, as I've mentioned in past posts, we bought a house in January. Just when I thought all the "tough" stuff was over, Spring showed her pretty face... She also showed us our disaster area yard and exterior of the house!
We've got more moss than any one acre should and mildew so thick you can write your name in it(keep reading for pics of that). HA! Anywho, the house is beautiful BUT it hasn't been kept up with in the last few years so we've got our work cut out for us this Summer.
Our first project was to kick the mildew and ugly off the porch and siding! Some people said to use bleach, chlorine, wire brushes, etc. We chose a high-powered pressure washer and NO chemicals... We all know me and my chem-free attempt at living ;-)

So far, we're very satisfied with the results. It's been incredibly time consuming but Kyle is about 1/3 of the way through pressure washing THEN to find a few warm weekends so we can start staining and sealing! Maybe we'll get lucky and a few friends will come join us with giant paint brushes and LOTS of ambition! (hint hint)
